The 12-ounce bottle pours a pitch-black, topped with a creamy tan-colored head that leaves a healthy ringed lace as it settles, with a bit of stick on the glass.
A touch of hop bitterness provides some citric edge and melds with the acridness of the brew for a perceived sourness. Smoky characters emerge as the beer warms, as do subtle drops of caramel.
Allwyn Brewery and Distillery Pvt. Ltd. was started in 2018, by its founder Mr. Dheeraj Sharma, who have about 16 years of experience in the distillery management. A passion for creating new range of products, that not only are pleasurable to consume yet striking a balance between indulgence and health. Keeping in mind, the objective of responsible indulgence in alcohol, he wanted to created a uniqueness that exemplifies human health. And so the vision of creating alcohol based products, “ the herbal way” was envisioned.
With extensive research and trials, came about the birth of these 17 unique herbal infused flavours. The First Production started in mid of 2018, and tried and tested in certain market segments of India, the products became a favourite amongst people. In his opening Statement, Mr. Dheeraj, addressed the group, saying; “ Friends & my country man, lets drink “the herbal way”, the only way for a “fearless, guilt free indulgence” .
Between 2018, and 2019, Allwyn went about acquiring distillery plants in Jayantpur, District- Sambalpur, Odisha; Sangrur, Punjab; Uttar Pradesh, Roorkee, District- Haridwar, Uttrakhand; Hoshiarpur, Punjab and today, Allwyn has a production capacity of 80,000 litres of production per day, demarked as Herbal Whisky and Herbal beer. June 2020, Allwyn, decided that , its time to share this uniqueness of its products to the world. “ A Born in India Product, to be celebrated across the world” and hence, exports was the next best thing.
A blend of lambic beers brewed at 3 Fonteinen, with an addition of 30% whole fresh raspberries from the fabled Payottenland and 5% sour cherries. This unfiltered beer will enjoy a spontaneous refermentation in the bottle. No artificial colors or flavor enhancers are added. Lambic is brewed only from 60% barley malt, 40% unmalted wheat, hops and water.
